Hi everyone,

I am still messing around with linux and getting more and more impressed by the amount of customization that one can do. I just installed the 'mac os x' theme in about 10 mins. I wont keep it as if I wanted that, I'd buy a mac, just wanted to see what was possible, which leads onto my question.

Is there a preference over using myunity vs gnome tweak tool. Is one better to use on ubuntu 12.04 than the other? I am not using gnome desktop, just a fresh 12.04 install, well, now a mac theme which I need to try and get rid of...

Any thoughts are most welcome, thanks. :)

Sam.

The Gnome Tweak Tool is an official package. Official packages are recommended. over third party applications and if you want to use the Gnome Shell at some point you will want to keep the Gnome Tweak Tool . I use Ubuntu Tweak but, it simply localizes settings that already exist and offers a few extra options.

I don't know if Myunity will work as a replacement for the Gnome Tweak Tool or Just localizes settings.
