I'm going to install windows and ubuntu side by side [so far I was running them 10x to wubi, but I now wanto install them side by side]

What I'm thinking is giving like 30 gb disk for win xp, 70 gb ntfs for win installations and for keeping copy of some files.. and like
200 gb for ubuntu [which I'm going to break in to 3 sub-partitions for home, swap and / of course]

Now if I do this will it work? I mean will I be able to use windows and linux just like it was so far with wubi?
I was wondering if it is safe and possible [i think it is]to make the 70gb ntfs partition mounted [i want it to be awlays mounted when I'm using ubuntu]
