Magnet Files on Transmission

Hi Everyone,

I saw a few posts already on this subject, but I'm still unable to resolve the problem.
I have installed what I think is the latest version of "Transmission" (2.33).
Lately I've been finding a lot of "Magnet" type files, which I just can't download.
Am I missing something, or it just doesn't work?
Do I need to use another software?
By the way, I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

Hi nmlferreira.

My guess it is a problem with Firefox settings (as described in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1948114&highlight=magnet)).

You can manually load a magnet link on Transmission this way:

Right click on link containing the magnet link.
Select 'Copy Link Location'.
Open transmission and go to File -> Add URL.
Paste the link.

I tried and it looked like it was about to work, but it opened a window and asked me for a torrent name???
