Notepad++ cntrl-tab in ubuntu crashes window manager

Anybody know why in ubuntu 12 (precise), using cntrl-tab shortcut to swich tabs in notepad++ (within wine) crashes the window manager but its fine if I log into an xubuntu session instead?

Would it be possible just to change the window manager to the one ubuntu uses perhaps?
