i have ubuntu 10.04, i know its old, and everything works great, no crashes and very quick. i am thinking of upgrading via disk. i have laptops and desktops with dual and triple(xp,7,ubuntu) boot configurations. i am having issues with grub2 config changes so i want to keep grub legacy, is that possible with an upgrade? thanks for any help and sorry to be so wordy.

You can do upgrade with live Precise CD,but I have bad expirience with it.I will recommend alternate CD to upgrade with.It is slower but never had any issues with it.After upgrade you will have grub2 but you cn revert to legacy grub following this.
