Hi:
I have installed today ubuntu 12.04 LTS and after i installed gnome-shell and on login i selected: Ubuntu Classic

Before when i was using previous version of ubuntu on systray i could see an icon for pidgin and icon for Skype.
Now the pidgin icon is under the envelope icon and Skype is not shown never.

Anyone know anything i could do to restore back systray icons? i have read some how-to but was for gone shell not for gnome classic.

Thanks.

This solved my problem: http://bipinkdas.blogspot.com/2012/05/make-skype-icon-visible-in-gnome.html

Installing one package and restarting did the job.

sudo apt-get install sni-qt:i386
