One of my daily programs is Nixnote.

I forgot how I did in a previous installation that Nixnote was put into the Unity, with the right name/icon.

Nixnote offers icons (bold, italic, left or right alignments, ... )in the middle of the screen and if they do not fit into your screen you will get a >> at the right end. For me this >> does not do a thing. To get to the missing commands, I have to un-maximize the window, and enlarge it to the right, move it to the left outside of the screen and enlarge the window again to the right till I can see the missing command icons.

Any idea how I can get this fixed?

Some strange changes happened:

After I started Nixnote from the command line, I got finally the right NixNote icon and it is placed in the Unity bar. I locked it and it opens ONLY if I double click on it. AND it is not in the list of applications - when you use ALT-TAB to switch to another application, nor is it ticked in Unity. It is running and I can only get it back if I minimize all aplication, that are on top of it.

How can I fix that?
