Syncing Ubuntu with Android without the internet?

Hi

Is it possible to sync an android smart phone with Ubuntu (evolution for contacts and calendar) without the internet?

I don't want to have internet in my home, and I don't want a data plan.

Can this be done without internet, like a windows mobile phone and MS outlook used to be done?
