(For some backround (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBelowZero))

Having missed the last UBZ are there any plans for another (also in Montréal svp)?

BTW: If you find yourself in Montréal go get lunch at the Bar-B-Barn. Really good bbq and cheap. Montréal gets a bad rap but it's a really cool place. Of course an UBZ West in Vancouver might be fun.

Also watch out for the drivers (http://kartvader.com/) up there. =)

Another suggestion is an UAZ (Ubuntu Above Zero) in Cambridge, MA* in the summer. Groups used to be able to reserve a block of rooms at McCormick Hall (the only same sex dorm at MIT but groups could have both) for much cheaper than the local hotels. Clean place with a million dollar view of the Charles River. Lots of choices though.

Montréal still seems like IMO the best choice (for North America). How about something like a cross between UBZ and "What the Hack (http://wiki.whatthehack.org/index.php/Main_Page)" (in the summer of course).

* I realize that there are many people that would rather not have it in or go to the US right now. Sadly I understand. Canada seems like the logical choice anyways.

Well, I would go if someone would donate enough money for me to travel to the US/canada. An airplane ticket from Norway isn't cheap:-P

The next Ubuntu developer summit (the one for Edgy) starts in three days in Paris.

Don't get me wrong, if i thought there was a chance in the world that my better half wouldn't kill me for hopping a flight over there I'd go.

"Honey, I'm off to Paris for a few days. Can I get you something like a t-shirt or ..."
<whack .... thud ... sound of my body being dragged away ... > =)

My thought is something much lighter than UDS for the North American crowd.
