Spread view gone

Hi,

I am using ubuntu 12.04. After a recent update of compiz, the spread view (the overview you get when more than one window of any program is opened) is gone. Its very frustrating to have to alt+tab cycle all the time. Please help.

p.s. Isn't stuff like this not supposed to happen in an LTS ?

This may be this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/996604?comments=all. If so, the workaround may be simple: set your workspaces so that you have at least two.
