This is almost certainly a stupid question, especially since I've been using Ubuntu since 7.04. I have my / on its own partition, so my question is this: if I use the LiveCD and put 12.04 on the / partition, will that be any different from using the terminal command
do-release-upgrade -d
Is there a way to preserve 10.04, at least until I know 12.04 will work well for me?
