Hi,

I recently upgraded my machine from ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04.. Everything went smooth except for java 1.7 installation..

can anyone help me to resolve with this..

Nope, because the download package that goes *WITH* the installer is broken. Rerunning the configuration just fails with same message.

Are you running this from Webupd8's PPA, which can be found on Launchpad and added to your sources.list?

https://launchpad.net/~webupd8team/+archive/java (https://launchpad.net/%7Ewebupd8team/+archive/java)

BTW, the current update is u4.
