Hi all, firstly I am completely new to UBUNTU and am struggling at every stage of using this software!

I haven't set up a partition for extra memory (swap space? i need to know how to add that after installation if its possible?!) but have 2gb ram on pc intel dual core 2.3 ghz, and 2 nvidia 8600gts 512mb gpu's.

i have installed warhammer mark of chaos using wine, however upon double clicking the wine icon i get the entitled error!

As there is nothing specific mentionedin this error i have no idea how to fix the problem?

I'm using xubuntu 12.04 installed on hdd

any suggestions or advice muchly appreciated, i'd like to be able to get to grips with this OS but so far finding it impossible to use!

Yes, it's possible. You do however need free space on your hard drive for a swap partition.

Post the output of sudo fdisk -l here.

Here is a good guide pertaining to your particular problem, http://askubuntu.com/questions/33697/adding-swap-partition-after-system-installation

Here is a general guide,

I would stick to the first link as the second one probably has more info than you need and can be confusing for someone new to linux.
