Password Lost after install of 12.4

I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.4 LTS and am now unable to "sudo" anything.

It tells me I am using the wrong password.

How do I reset the password when it is unknown?

not sure myself how ever what you could do is set up another user account and give that account admin and see if this works ,,

though I dont really know off hand how to recover or change a password im sure there most like is a way, I usually just take the easy reinstall route ..

either way everything in your system is mountable and acessable from Live cd that makes picking the locks fairly easy ...
