Package problems

Hi i just recently installed libreoffice on ubuntu 10.04 netbook. After attempting to install it couldnt find the nesassary files to install and hung. I shut down and restarted. Now i cant remove or unmark the package. I am forced to reinstall which is impossible. What can i do?
