lost Dash Home @ Unity 12.04

Do not know what happened, but lost Dash Home and top bar with Unity.
I have them with Unity 2D, but not with Unity.

How to get them back?

Can you give us any background leading to this, for example any changes made in compiz, graphic drivers....etc, details are really helpful if you can.

Is the left panel still there but missing the dash and home?

Tried to install: System tools via "sudo apt-get install gnome-system-tools"
It did not do what I wanted it to do and removed it again.

Since then, no Dash home and top bar under Unity, but available under Unity 2D.
