I have a 500GB internal Seagate hard drive. I decided to partition it this way. 500Gb comes in around 465-466 when Windows 7 Pro is installed. I mainly use Windows 7 for photo editing, Ligthroom, PSE 9, Photomatix Pro, and Astronomy apps not available on Linux. But I am mainly using Ubuntu for everyday work and tasks. So I shrunk my partition down to 365 for Windows 7 Pro and 100GB for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Now I purchased a 2TB external Seagate external hard drive for data, photos, video, documents. Basically backup. Any real reason to purchase an extra internal hdd. Or can I setup Ubuntu and Windows 7 to do automatic backups to external hdd. What do think of my setup?. I got a Intel i5 quad core and 8GB RAM.
