hello,
i've recently upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 on my acer aspireone netbook. during the upgrade i was asked if i wanted to change my networking settings. for some reason i said no.
now when i login i get the message: waiting for network setting" and then:" waiting 60 more seconds for network settings". than i logon, but i have no internet at all, wireless and ethernet alike.

when i type ifconfig i get :

eth0 link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:23:5a:72:eb:37
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
Rx bytes:0 (0.0.B) TX bytes:0 (0.0.B)
Interrupt:45
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr: ::1/128 Scope:host
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:24820 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:1494072 (1.4 MB) TX bytes:1494072 (1.4 MB)

i must add also i'm completely clueless with linux. i know how to open terminal and thats about it.

what should i do?

thx
