I always wonder what the Gnome developers think of this sort of thing.

Torvalds continued, “It allows such radical notions as having easy mouse configurability for things like how to launch applications. Things gnome removed because those kinds of things were “too confusing”, and in the process made useless. And an auto-hide application dock at the bottom. Revolutionary, I know.”

It won't be long before Google doesn't give him praise and quickly accept one of his patches, and he ends up hating them, too.

What he says is an interesting data point, but how about us Linux nerds stop taking his word as gospel? Especially in terms of UI, it's a bit ridiculous to consider Linus a "normal user".

I hear he likes chicken soup and hates pumpkin soup. All the pumpkin soup developers are now in therapy.

Why would the Gnome developers give any more weight to his opinion than any other of their critics?

Education : if you don't like soup : eat nutty banana bread , it improves brain function

as yet, have not found a use for pumpkin seeds, except make for making more pumpkins.

It was a ringing edorsement....

Torvalds wrote, “And I haven’t really played around with it all that much, but as a desktop it really doesn’t look that bad."

Check out the previous versions here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Taurus), there a lot more of those around, than the version you linked to.

Roasted Pumpkin seeds? They improve the Linux performance and enhance the UI experience.Roasted, salty pumpkin seeds are almost as good as sunflower seeds.
