whenever i'm trying to install a software from the terminal it shows:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
g++-4.6 : Depends: gcc-4.6-base (= 4.6.3-1ubuntu4) but 4.6.3-1ubuntu5 is to be installed
Depends: gcc-4.6 (= 4.6.3-1ubuntu4) but 4.6.3-1ubuntu5 is to be installed
Depends: libstdc++6-4.6-dev (= 4.6.3-1ubuntu4) but 4.6.3-1ubuntu5 is to be installed
libstdc++6-4.6-dev : Depends: g++-4.6 (= 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) but 4.6.3-1ubuntu4 is to be installed
synaptic : Depends: libept1.4.12 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libvte9 (>= 1:0.24.0) but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: rarian-compat but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
