I want to know if there is a microsoft project viewer or editor that will work on ubuntu?

What exactly do you mean by a "Microsoft Project"

There is an app called 'Planner' 'Project Management' which seems to be the Gnu/Linux equivalent of 'Microsoft Project'.
I can't remember whether or not it can open 'Microsoft Project' files and 'saves as' that file type or not.
Most Gnu/Linux generally do have a superior capability to be able to read a wide range of other file types and to save files as file types other than their own native file type.
