Hi all!

I got a shiny new computer from Dell, and I wanted to install Ubuntu 12.04 on it. Before I go in deeper, here are my specs:

XPS 8300
Intel Core i7-2600
12 GB RAM
1 TB 7200 (I think) RPM HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 545

Anything else, just ask :)

Ok, so I popped in the Ubuntu installation disk, and waited for it to load. A bunch of text came flying through then stopped at something like:

[sdaX] Attached SCSI disk

(X is a number)

I realized that right before that it mentioned the built-in card reader on the computer. I went into the BIOS and disabled that. It then proceeded and stopped at my webcam. Same error afterwards. I unplugged every device (including my keyboard and mouse). It then stopped at a different message. I attached a picture of it.

Anyways, thanks in advance :)

EDIT: I forgot the problem, how foolish of me! Anyways, the computer hangs at the screen shown on the attached photo.

You're going to need the keyboard/mouse during the install. Better enable those.

You don't say what the errors were.

Whoops, how could I forget that! I'll edit it in.

When I attach it says the it detects a logitech keyboard and mouse combo, then shows this:

[sda1] Attached SCSI Disk

Then it hangs
