Hi,
I have a Boss BR-800 digital recorder. I recently changed to ubuntu (and loving it) but always had to use ms windows to use 'wave converter' software from boss.
Now i am trying to completely get rid of windows - you know why :) -
But i havent found a 'bro to wav' converter, and i don't think i'm going to find it thru excessive googling (wich i've try'd ofcourse) :lolflag:
Now maybe someone had this problem to and knows how to solve it, it would really help since i can't write my own program.
Thanks everyone!

Now you can see the arrow, hellas the drive does not appear since you are in ubuntu
so i can't use this program or i would have to be a programmer and change it from the inside :lolflag: (whatever that means :p ) but im not ](*,)
but thanks anyway

You can try this (obviously I can't really without the memory card??
Connect your card, (if that's what you're using), then open winecfg > Drives
Click on add, that will add a D drive. With D: still highlighted then add the path to using the 'browse' button. If you can find your card or whatever click on it, (not what's inside) & then click Apply
See screen - I added a D: drive that is a usb memeory card (/media/storage/
Then see if your prog will show & accept in the drive dropdown - screen 2

If you upload a small bro file, we could try it out in a bunch of programs and give you an idea of what works.

ditto here Andrew
cannot even read properties
it is too specific to original hardware/software the route probably
has to be through this converter (http://www.derangedcoder.net/notes/music/software/brtowav/index.html) must be doable:KS:KS

the issue with this is FINDING out how the file is structured. Astoundingly - I doubt that Roland is going to rush this into public domain any time soon....
Oddly, I'm seeing how Sonar will work via Wine - TBH, there is a direct workaround... just use the line out of the BR800 and just use the PC sound card to get it off there directly. Clunky I know and you're most likely going to get noise in it, but *shrugs* that's the best I can offer.
BTW - have you CHANGED the SD card that was in your BR 800 at all - as I get the message that it's not a 'correct' type of card in there (I put in a 2GB one - which was on it's 'approved' list)?
