Limit Desktop Size?

Hi there,

I do have quite a problem. I'm trying to upgrade my netbook at the moment and I can't continue or abort it properly because the size of the Update Manager's window exceeds the size of my screen so I can't access the bar on top nor the buttons to cancel or do anything else and it is either stuck or I'd need to confirm something. It's not possible to resize or move the window either. I also accessed the netbook via vnc which didn't help either. Of course I could force quit the update manager but since it's a system upgrade that doesn't seem like the best option..

Is there any possibility to limit the screen in size so that the window can't pass over the border of the screen?

Hold down the alt key then drag your window up past the top of the screen :)
