Duplicated Items at the bars.

I'm using ubuntu 12.04, I was using two monitors,
but now when I went to just one display, the icons
at top and bottom bars are duplicated.
I tried changing the xorg.conf but didn't work,
I'm using Nvidia X Server Settings.
but I did a test where I created another User
and it returned to normal, but I don't know what I should change
in my User to return to normal.
for those who want's a look at my screen

I'm having the same issue, I'm on a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with an additional display and running nVidia drivers. All the panels in the panel bars are duplicated, including the running applications.

User Alt + Right Click to remove the extra panels and applets. However, if you switch back to using multiple monitors, the panels will not come back.
