Pls help me choose which version of Ubuntu should i install, a 64 Bit or 32 Bit UBUNTU 12.04.
And also pls tell what is the benefit of choosing that version (64 or 32).

Thank You.

There are no longer normally any issues with 64 bit. 64 bit, on hardware capable and powerful enough to run it, has been tested to be faster than 32 bit. Phoronix tested 32 bit, 32 bit PAE and 64 bit to compare them side by side...64 bit won nearly across the board.

I would recommend you test it via live session before deciding, but with your hardware I would start with 64 bit because it should operate smoothly on that machine.

Few people say that there are many problems associated with a 64 bit OS. Eg All apps available for 32 bit are not available for 64 bit. Is it true for UBUNTU too..?

I don't know abt 12.04 but I have been using 64-bit 10.04 and 8.04 before that for last 4 years without any problems on an older computer!

I haven't found one yet that I cannot run on 64. You can add 32 bit libs to allow 32 bit apps to run in 64 bit OS's.
