libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have been trying to get ePSXe to run on my machine. I've been following 2 guides:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=95835 & http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=612021

Both of these say that libgtk 1.2 is needed. I have done research and found they are considered to be outdated and no longer available. I have 2.0, but I keep getting this in the command line...

./epsxe: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any help would be much appreciated!

Is there nobody out there who can help me at least a little? Anyone have ePSXe working in Ubuntu?

I am having this problem as well. I'm trying to get the original Unreal Tournament (not GOTY) installed on 10.04 Lucid Lynx. I'm crossing my fingers for ya, man!
