h all,

i followed the instructions very carefully, i´m trying to install ubuntustudio (11.04) in a 4g pendrive,

i used two methods,
1-burning a dvd, booting from there and installing to a 4Gb new pendrive,
2.-booted the same dvd from virtual ubuntu (vbox),
both failed at the same stage (installing programs)

any help?, please,

machine is assrock, intel e5200, 3g ram, nvidia7200, several hd´s,

thanks in advance

I run ubuntustudio (11.04) too and I like it :-) but I think it is too big to be installed in a 4g pendrive.

Hi,

IMHO, this is a different case and should be on different thread. I will request from the admins to move your post to a new thread for better answers :)

Thank you!

4 GB flash formats to something like 3.7 GB. And while it used to be possible to do a full install on that with an older ubuntu version (like maybe a 9 version) with barely any free space, 8 GB flash memory is generally recommended as a minimum.

Ofcourse 4 GB is to small for full OS,

Might consider install "presistant" iso or get biger USB
