View Full Version : [ubuntu] 12.04 wont boot with wifi card in

ok so here is the problem when i go to install Ubuntu 12.04 if i have my wifi card in which is a wmp54gs it will not let me install once i took it out it let me install the new LTS. Now the new problem even after install it wont boot up if the wifi card is in the pci slot. im pritty sure i have to use ndiswrapper and do the hole driver thing but another problem I've only been using linux for like 3 years and dont know quit what to do any help would be appreciated

If the computer won't boot with the wifi card installed, that sounds like a hardware problem. Ndiswrapper won't change anything.

You might consider a TP-Link TL-WN722N USB adapter. They cost around $20.
