upgrading from beta version.

can i upgrade my 12.04 beta to 12.04 stable one?
will it retain the packages that i've installed.

Yes. If you use Update Manager and install updates you will move up to the stable version. This will keep your existing installed packages.

I did this myself with no problems.

My internet speed is very slow. i've got the stable version (dvd) on my friend's bootable pen drive. can it be used to upgrade.
also when i was trying to install it, it showed some error stating that the graphics was very low or the hard diskspace is very low. what to do about that.
