Use dash home (press window or master button ) and type update manager;)

It's even easier: just click the on/of button (upper right corner)and there you get system settings, software up-to-date and the most essential functions (printers, startup applications)...

It is even easier still.

On/off icon fourth line down, Software Updater.

Or System Settings>Details. There is a button that says checking for updates. If updates are available you can click on that button when it changes to Install Updates.
