I booted into my ubuntu 64bit desktop partition running rel. 11.10 and saw that there was a new release 12.04. I followed the instructions to upgrade and the installation is stuck at wvdial (terminal output below) for more than a day.

I did not know how to move ahead apart from rebooting the box. It booted back up in ubuntu 11.10 and it asked me to run a partial upgrade because the previous upgrade failed. So I did and I'm stuck at the same point again!!! Anyone in the forum faced this problem? Please advise.

Sankscan,

Have you found a solution to this problem? I am in the exact situation as you, but can't find a solution.
