View Full Version : [ubuntu] Black Screen Problem

The version I'm using is 12.04 (it happens to all versions, not just this one)

Any way I try to install/try Ubuntu, I always have a black screen come up. If I set it to nomodeset, it shows a bunch of commands etc, then it goes to a black screen and nothing happens from there. If I try installing it without adding anything to the command line, it goes to a black screen and stays there as well. If I set it to nomodeset then try installing it, it goes to a purple screen where the ubuntu logo and 4 loading dots are there, and sits there for about 3 minutes, then goes to a black screen and nothing happens from there. I've tried so many different commands and I just can't get it to work.

Specs:
CPU = AMD K14
RAM = 4.00 GB DDR3 @ 671MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard = Quanta 2AC7 (CPU 1)
Graphics = AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics
Hard Drive = 733 Seagate ST375052 8AS SATA Disk Device (SATA)

For more information, here is full details of my PC: HP Omni 120 (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c03028724&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&contentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=5146275&prodTypeId=12454)

I don't know what else to do, to resolve this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
