Why in the name of all that is holy did they do away with this behaviour!

I quite liked it as I use a 12" screen on my laptop in the evenings where full screen and the smart hide was brilliant and then at work when I docked it to a 19" monitor maximisation was pointless.

I also use synergy as a client to share my windows 7 mouse and kbd to having the launcher auto hidden is a real PITA

Apart from that - Love 12.04 - very snappy so a big thumbs-up to the devs!

When I was testing out 12.04 beta, I was hoping they wouldn't do away with the smart hide behaviour too. Alas, I feel your strife...:popcorn:

Found this - solved it!

Just reboot after installing!

I'm now happy again! :)
