Here is the first sorry second video demo of Lightworks video editor running natively on Linux Ubuntu.

It definitely looks more complicated than Openshot. :(
The effects stuff they did was pretty cool though.

I have tried it on my windows installs before and must admit it is more for professional use.
It's not for a quick fuse together and upload to youtube.

I tried out Lightworks in Windows as soon as it was available. It looks like it can do a lot, but I didn't like the UI at all. I've used a lot of NLEs over the past 20 years, and Lightworks' user interface is just too non-standard. Maybe I'll have to see if I can fetch the Linux version and give it a shot. Right now, I'm using Sony Vegas in a VM.
