Downloading upgrade tools

My Ubuntu 12.04 upgrade says 'downloading upgrade tools' then after a while it all dissapears. Dosn't crash or anything,

I'm upgrading from my upgrade thing in the system controller and i am going 11.10 to 12.04

the server is very busy today keep trying in your terminal to

sudo apt-get update
sudo do-release-upgrade

each command separate
also try changing the down load server in down load manager this is helping for some to a degree ..

How do i change the download server?
