How to use Mupen64plus?

I'd thought Mupen would be the best choice but it doesn't seem to have a GUI and I have no idea hwo to configure the controls.

Tips?

I think Mupen64Plus is indeed the best choice. You run it from the command line, of course: mupen64plus ~/path/to/rom.z64

My config file is at ~/.config/mupen64plus/mupen64plus.cfg

I find my saitek p990 plugs and plays without a hitch. If you need to tweak the mapping or are playing by keyboard, you'll have to experiment with the settings. This table of keys and codes (http://www.comptechdoc.org/os/linux/howlinuxworks/linux_hlkeycodes.html) might or might not help you.

By the way, the version of Mupen64Plus in the repositories is ancient. You can get the latest version at the project's googlecode page. (http://code.google.com/p/mupen64plus/)

Sorry about the rubbish at the end, for some reason the board inserts it no matter how I try to delete it.

Just install wine and insrtall project64, the current state of MUPEN is pathetic with no real usable GUI, and no Cutemupen is not a viable alternative.
