View Full Version : [SOLVED] 11.10--screensaver

I'm now running Ubuntu 11.10--using the GNOME interface--and really starting to like it. (I really do NOT like the new graphic interface!)

HOWEVER.....

I can't find any SCREENSAVER. Is there one, and I have somehow missed it? If so, how do I find it and get it running?

I really prefer screensavers than having the screen go blank...but if there's no screensavers anymore, oh well...I'll live with it.

Thanks as always.

EDIT: My answer was for a regular Ubuntu version. I just realized that you are asking for Lubuntu. I don't really know if this apply to you.

Hi JohnFDay.

I believe there isn't any by design (Gnome3). Take a look at this tutorial (http://www.liberiangeek.net/2011/10/enable-screensavers-in-ubuntu-11-10-oneiric-ocelot/) to install the necessary packages so you can have the same functionality as previous version.

I hope that helps,
Regards.

Papibe: Thanks. IT WORKED.

Problem solved. (I'm running UBUNTU....Not "Lubuntu"...mistake on my part!)
