12.04-Beta Update Manager Error

Each time I use update-manager for 12.04-Beta updates I get these error messages:

Package operation failed
installArchives() failed: Preconfiguring packages ...
Preconfiguring packages ...
dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
unable to create `/var/lib/dpkg/updates/tmp.i': Input/output error
Error in function:
SystemError: E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)]
I never know if the updates are accomplished or not?
