I can't figure out how to keep my monitor from turning off when I watch videos on my computer in Gnome 3. When I used Fedora I was able to install this extension with general ease:
https://github.com/RaphaelKimmig/Gnome-Presentation-Mode
But in Ubuntu it can't simply be pasted into the extensions folder. Other dependencies must be installed, and no directions are provided on how to do so. A while back I tried to do it, but I messed up trying to install "git" and my computer wouldn't boot to Ubuntu anymore. Does anyone either know how to keep the screen from blacking out or install this extension?
I am using Ubuntu 11.10 64bit.
Thanks
