wireless is intermetant after re-install of 11.10

Last night, i had it all working great until i closed terminal during an upgrade. I re-installed and it froze about 99% of the way through the install. waited one hour and nothing. cold booted and it loaded into ubuntu but does not show the bash scripts running during start up, you know, all the white writing telling you whats going on as it boots. also wifi is staying on for 5 minutes, then goes off. Maybe boot the live cd and do a repair? or upgrade or re install a third time. it dont matter to me. I would love a clean install for once. haha

i did a fresh install just to be safe. Oh and btw, i have the atherios chipset. that could be my problem.. haha. yup same issue. wifi works for no more than 5 or so minutes and then it trys and trys to reconnect. i ran

cat /var/log/dmesg | grep wlan0

and it says link not ready is all
