Fresh install of 12.04 and switched over to xfce because I didn't like unity. Installed ccsm and ran compiz --replace and now windows are unable to be moved either by holding down on title bar or holding alt. Anyone have a clue of what the problem could be?

You did not enable the "Move Window" plugin.
You should log in Xfce, open ccsm and enable all the essential plugins before compiz --replace.

I've had the same problem. A couple of other questions though:

1. What are all the essential plugins for compiz running on xubuntu?

2. When I enable compiz I have the top bar missing from my windows so I can't grab that and move a window around. I can move a window by holding the Alt key and Left Mouse Click, but that's not practical for moving windows around.

Any ideas?
