I've been running 12.04 since beta, and it's come along quite nicely. Since I have it on a laptop, I thought it would be good to implement whole disk encryption on the drive.

Is there any way to do this now that the OS is installed?

truecrypt can do part of disk or full disk encryption. suggets you only encrypt home.

You would have to reinstall but this is easily done by just installing using the alternate install iso and choosing "encryption with LUKS". Simple as that. No need to also encrypt home.
