Backtrack and Blackubuntu might be based upon Ubuntu but there are big differences between them and Ubuntu.

You should seek help at the Backtrack and the Blackubuntu web sites. It is my understanding that Ubuntu forums does not give support for Backtrack or Blackubuntu.

The title of your post is incorrect. You have no problems booting Ubuntu. Your problems are with two different operating systems.
