are you updating to 12.04 or are you already running it and updating ??

about 10 days ago I tried to upgrade from 11.10 to 12,04 and it was libc6 that gave me issues when the upgrade was done I could boot no problem but there was no images or graphic at all the mouse and pointer worked but there was nothing to click no GUI at all the keyboard cant say if it worked or not after boot there was no place to type I was able to put in my password to get booted ..

i would say libc6 at that time hada bugs at that time..

Report it as a bug on launchpad if you think it is. 12.04 is still in development so you can expect things not to work 100%.

On top of that, you are posting in the wrong section because there is a separate section for the version under development. I think some of the developers visit it, while they don't visit most of the other sections.

Please post problems with development versions there.

yes definatly report the upgrade bug this is important !!
the thing you can do right now is you cold down load the 12.04 ISO and install it from CD I this seems to work , its the upgrade where most have the trouble or you could reinstall 11.10..

for the most part that is I did I didnt have to lose, and when playing wits in development you should back things up :)
