i would like to write a php cms. i dont know php very well, so i think just clubbing away at it would be a good idea.

i found this link and it looks like a good read and good start at this.

http://www.elated.com/articles/cms-in-an-afternoon-php-mysql/

it would need a simple user hierarchy, admin, teacher, ++, +, and user.

need to be able to host files, generate course info pages, print grades.

ive been tip toeing around the subject of web development for a minute.

if i make any progress worthy of posting ill post it. however this is just a note to myself to look at this to learn moar php.

Hello All

http://moodle.org/

Moodle is a FOSS virtual learning environment with a plugin framework ('blocks' and 'modules') and full admin/roles editing system in place.
