Hi

I am trying to install Ubuntu 11.10 on AMD FX6100 machine and the setup is quickly aborting with a kernel panic.

The error seems to be in i2c/PCI bus which results in modprobe failure. I am attaching screen shots for more information. Interestingly Fedora 16 is also throwing the exact same error which makes me believe it has something to with motherboard HW.

The details of the board - Gigabyte 970A-UD3 BIOS F5d.

I already have opened a support case with Gigabyte but just wanted to check if anyone here has seem similar/same issue

Thanks in advance!
