Mouseover Text Gone - Firefox, Gnome Classic, 11.10

I recently switched from the Unity DE to the Gnome Classic DE in 11.10. In Gnome Classic, the mouseover text in Firefox seems to have disappeared. When I mouse over a video on YouTube, it doesn't show me the full title. If I mouse over an xkcd comic, I don't get the mouseover text. The only way I seem to be able to view it is if I right-click on this image (or whatever it is) and click "View Image Info". What I would see is in the resulting pop-up. I've poked around in the settings and searched Google, but both to no avail. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I had the same problem after upgrading to FF12. Not sure, if that applies to you, but in my case it was "torbutton"s fault. Disabling "torbutton" solved the issue for me.
