Maybe not the obvious place to post this but I have been following unity/gnome design documents and sometimes these are updated.

Is there any way to highlight exactly what part of a Google document has been updated?

To view the revision changes in a Google (word) document, you click somewhere in the doc and press Alt+Ctrl+G, or you can go to File > See revision history. Although, I think you can only see the revision history if you have permission to edit the doc.

Ah, the docs are read only so that explains why I can't see it in the menus.

I'm quite suprised though, for a very long document, you don't want to scour every inch of text seeing what has changed.
