I was looking at this video and this photo reminded me of a scene in a very popular recent movie, can you guess which one?

That looks more like a underground water reservoir in Japan. Hence the asian looking man in a hard hat ;)

Reminds me of one of the last levels in Goldeneye! (on Nintendo 64)

Yes but that is not the pic he was showing. Notice the water and the water tight flood lights in the ceiling. Also the cavern is polished concrete.

Here is some more pics on google. (https://www.google.com/search?q=japan+underground+reservoir&hl=en&pwst=1&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=q7CIT46sOoH28wSU6NzGCQ&ved=0CE0QsAQ&biw=1313&bih=790).

No, the point is that humans have been building underground structures for thousands of years, many of which relate to the control of water.

My bad, I was referring to the OPs post about it being an Deep Underground Military Base. I am not arguing that humans haven't been building underground structures for a very very long time. Just that the pic he showed wasn't a military base. I noticed what it was when he posted because I seen the show Build It Bigger or something like that on Discovery Channel a few months back.

I'm sure there are underground military bases; however, wouldn't you expect that to be the case. We were prepared for a nuclear war.

What I noticed was the lack of military uniforms in most of the pictures. They could be photos of underground civilian transportation, salt mines, or anything else that is underground and not military related. The pictures that had military uniforms could have been in any room in a building, underground or above ground.

The photo of the ship is what seems to be a Swedish Navy Goteborg (Type KVV-90) Class Missile Corvette in the underground base at Muskö. http://www.theblogbelow.com/2008/07/musko-swedens-underground-nava.html

I just find the YouTube video to be amusing for entertainment purposes.

Even facilities designed for conventional warfare are often dug in. A layer of dirt may be low-tech, but it's actually pretty hard to kill. I saw quite a few earth berms and earth-covered buildings in my time in uniform, and a few proper underground ones.

Come on, man! Don't leave us hanging. Even if it's not a military base, you still need to tell us which movie you were reminded of.

It struck me as looking very much alike.
